The Rise and Fall Of the Roman Empire

Image
The Rise and Fall Of the Roman Empire The Roman Empire was perhaps the most powerful empires that existed in the history of Europe. We shall look at how the Roman Empire was set up and what resulted in its downfall. The birth of this empire is credited to the twins Romulus and Remus. According to mythology they were reared by a she wolf. If we look back at the history of Rome it would be difficult for us to imagine a small city state like Rome having grown as a powerful empire. This small Latin state like its Greek counterparts was one ridden by battles and this led to fragmentation. It is a wonder that a community heavily reliant on farming and agriculture and constantly at war became the axis around which a whole powerful empire existed.
