The evolution of paper The common white object that we all use today is something taken for granted but it has a long history. We shall trace the genesis of paper here. Paper as we all know it today is derived from papyrus and its origin can be traced back to the Han dynasty. The type of paper they made was from hemp and it was coarse, uneven and thick. The Anglo Mysore wars

The rise and fall of Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan The British in their quest for supremacy over India did not have it easy especially in the southern state of Mysore. Mysore was ruled by a brave and independent ruler Hyder Ali and later his son Tipu Sultan. Both these rulers were a nightmare for the British whom they gave a run for their money. The Middle Age The fall of the Roman Empire marked the beginning of a new age in the history of Europe and most historians refer to it as the Dark Ages or the Middle Age. The name Dark Age was given by the Italian scholar and poet Petrarch as during this time he felt Latin literature and art were declining. This has come under question as the name is used to denote the period from5th to 10th centuries where there were intermittent periods of intellectual advance and periods of lull.
