The rise and fall of Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan The British in their quest for supremacy over India did not have it easy especially in the southern state of Mysore. Mysore was ruled by a brave and independent ruler Hyder Ali and later his son Tipu Sultan. Both these rulers were a nightmare for the British whom they gave a run for their money. The Vietnam War

The Vietnam War was the longest war that the USA was involved in. Vietnam is a nation in South East Asia bordering the Indonesian peninsula. During the First World War the Japanese attacked it and wanting to free itself from the French colonial power and Japan HO Chi Minh inspired by communist ideals set up the Viet Minh or League of independence for Vietnam. Japan lost the war and backed out of Vietnam. Seizing this opportunity Ho Chi Minh wanted to set up a government independent of other countries. Emperor Bao Dai was in control of Vietnam at this time.
