The story behind the Ashok Chakra


We all know that the Indian flag has the Ashok Chakra inscribed on it but very seldom have we pondered about why it is part of the flag or what it stands for. This video will throw light on some of the unanswered questions. Initially the flag had a charka the symbol of self reliance during Gandhian times and was after independence changed to the Ashok Chakra. The Chakra represents the dharmachakra with 24 spokes.
