The change in order in Christianity

The Middle Ages though referred to as the Dark Ages did have its share of changes too. The Renaissance and Reformation took place during this time and both had far reaching repercussions in the history of the world. The English King, Henry the eighth was in fact one of the key personalities involved in this change. During the Middle Ages the Pope under the Roman Catholic Church was wielding undue power and this was disliked by the group of radical thinkers who were responsible for the Renaissance movement in Europe. Added to this was the desire of King Henry the eighth to annul his first marriage and remarry , His request to the Pope fell on deaf ears and this fuelled the movement. The Reformation was initially more of a political affair than a theological one. The Middle Age The fall of the Roman Empire marked the beginning of a new age in the history of Europe and most historians refer to it as the Dark Ages or the Middle Age. The name Dark Age was given by the Italian scholar and poet Petrarch as during this time he felt Latin literature and art were declining. This has come under question as the name is used to denote the period from5th to 10th centuries where there were intermittent periods of intellectual advance and periods of lull. The Vietnam War

The Vietnam War was the longest war that the USA was involved in. Vietnam is a nation in South East Asia bordering the Indonesian peninsula. During the First World War the Japanese attacked it and wanting to free itself from the French colonial power and Japan HO Chi Minh inspired by communist ideals set up the Viet Minh or League of independence for Vietnam. Japan lost the war and backed out of Vietnam. Seizing this opportunity Ho Chi Minh wanted to set up a government independent of other countries. Emperor Bao Dai was in control of Vietnam at this time.
