The history of chocolate

The invention of Chocolate The word chocolate conjures sweet sensations in the minds of young and old. We have never pondered to find out how this confectionery as we know it today had its origin. The word "chocolate" comes from the Classical Nahuatl word chocolātl, and entered the English language from the Spanish language. This is an attempt to unravel the mysteries of this invention and also to look at some of its lesser known facts. History dates its invention to the Mesoamericans. It is believed by the Aztecs that these were given to them by their God of wisdom Quetzalcotyl and were brewed from cocao seeds. The Middle Age The fall of the Roman Empire marked the beginning of a new age in the history of Europe and most historians refer to it as the Dark Ages or the Middle Age. The name Dark Age was given by the Italian scholar and poet Petrarch as during this time he felt Latin literature and art were declining. This has come under question as the name is used to denote the period from5th to 10th centuries where there were intermittent periods of intellectual advance and periods of lull. The Vietnam War

The Vietnam War was the longest war that the USA was involved in. Vietnam is a nation in South East Asia bordering the Indonesian peninsula. During the First World War the Japanese attacked it and wanting to free itself from the French colonial power and Japan HO Chi Minh inspired by communist ideals set up the Viet Minh or League of independence for Vietnam. Japan lost the war and backed out of Vietnam. Seizing this opportunity Ho Chi Minh wanted to set up a government independent of other countries. Emperor Bao Dai was in control of Vietnam at this time.
