Shivaji the Marata Warrior

Shivaji Bhonsle, also known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, was an Indian warrior king and a member of the Bhonsle Maratha clan. Shivaji's tales of fearlessness and chivalry are well known as folk tales but few realize that he had an important position to play in the History of India. Well before the likes of Rani lakshmi Bai and others Shivaji sowed the seeds of patriotism in the minds of his fellowmen. His fanatic need to preserve his motherland at all costs iwhat stands out in all the tales and historical evidence we have. This video delves into some of these exploits. The name Dark Age was given by the Italian scholar and poet Petrarch as during this time he felt Latin literature and art were declining. This has come under question as the name is used to denote the period from5th to 10th centuries where there were intermittent periods of intellectual advance and periods of lull.
